Cannes Lions wrapped up last week and the Hong Kong Young Lions winners were invited to discuss the key takeaways from the competition.
The competition brief for Hong Kong this year was for Heep Hong Society, a leading education and rehabilitation organisation supporting children with special education needs. Dyslexia was the focus of the campaign, and competing teams had to develop an integrated PR campaign to help raise awareness and educate the public about dyslexia while supporting the organization’s fund-raising efforts.
PRHK was delighted to have invited the winning & runner up teams share their presentation with us and for Hong Kong winners to share takeaways from competing at the global competition.
FleishmanHillard’s winning campaign was based on an experiential exhibition called “Welcome to My Wonderland” for the general public to experience the creative learning journey of dyslexic children. While BlueCurrent’s campaign, “Kaleidoscope Life”, proposed to collaborate with a well-known dyslexic musician to fundraise through releasing his music through NFTs. The FleishmanHillard team then competed at the global Young Lions competition on a brief for Global Racism Adaption.
Both teams attributed their success to the excellent chemistry with the other team member, helping them to effectively work together and respond to the brief in only 24 hours. The teams mentioned they worked late into the night to complete their presentation but that the experience was worth it.
For teams interested in joining next year’s competition, registrations will kick off in March 2023. Hope to see you then!
