PRHK ANNOUNCES ITS NEXT GENERATION LEADERS, TASKED WITH DRIVING INDUSTRY CHANGE

June 02nd 2021

PRHK today announced its Next Generation Leaders, tasked with driving change in the work life balance space for the communications industry at large.

The industry-first task force is made up of representatives from international, local, independent and holding group agencies with key leads; Karolis Adomaitis, Vice President, Fleishman Hillard; Iris Yeung, Manager, Golin;  Sara Cheung, Assistant Director Edelman and Penn Leung, Director, CCG.

The team had their kick-off meeting last week and as an immediate next step will be investigating issues of work life balance within the industry, providing constructive solutions and three year-long goals, in order to facilitate actionable change.

By the end of the year, it aims to have created a playbook for all member agencies on how to foster a culture of positive work life balance in the context of the new future of work. Any agency opting in to the initiative will receive a PRHK initiative logo signifying their commitment, and will also be held accountable to certain practices and goals, as devised by the task force.

Karolis Adomaitis comments: ‘2020 has exacerbated mental health issues, especially with  our industry being naturally high octane and often highly stressful. We have a duty to ensure that we foster a positive and supportive environment for people to work in, offering a healthy work-life balance that allows our teams to produce outstanding work that they are proud of, and that our clients love.’

Iris Yeung comments “this is the first time our agencies have come together and the first meeting was filled with energy and positivity. As a united team we are looking forward to making a tangible difference.’

Jane Morgan, Managing Director of PRHK agency member Golin, is the executive sponsor of this initiative, supported by  Rachel Catanach, Chair of the PRHK and Senior Partner and President Greater China, Fleishman

Hong Kong-based PR agency employees with 6-12 years’ experience are welcomed into the taskforce; connect@prhongkong.org.
